Mulberry molasses
Mulberry
molasses is produced by concentration of the
wort obtained from the fruit of mulberry (Morus
spp.) and is a valuable food with the natural
fruit sugars it contains and its high mineral
content.
Mulberry molasses has a rich content especially
due to macro elements such as calcium,
potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and trace
elements such copper, manganese and zinc
(Akbulut & Özcan,
2009).
Minerals are crucial
for bone development and health, resistance to
diseases and normal body functions (Campbell,
2001). Mulberry
molasses is a very good alternative especially
in the winter to keep thebody resistance and
immune system strong (Çelik & Bakırcı 2003).
